University of Oxford Signs Three Apparel Partners
Licensees will leverage new creative direction based on the University’s archives and collections
London, England – September 30, 2019 – The University of Oxford, the world’s number one university for a fourth consecutive year*, announced today that it will launch apparel ranges in partnership with three new apparel licensees, Poetic Brands, Park Agencies, and Europrosem.
“We are thrilled to be working with three leading partners in the apparel market and together with them we plan to launch a new and exciting take on the University of Oxford,” said Chris Evans, Managing Director, Oxford Ltd. “The creative work developed in collaboration with leading UK design agency, Skew, that we are about to bring to market will challenge pre-conceptions and reflect the modern and leading-edge aspect of the University’s brand. We have no doubt that the resulting product will be fresh and exciting.”
Poetic Brands will produce Oxford apparel designs for retail in the UK & Ireland, whilst
Park Agencies and Europrosem will develop ranges for European markets. Harnessing Oxford’s strong brand reputation, the deals collectively provide broad distribution into new territories and channels.
The ranges will leverage a new style guide developed in collaboration with leading UK design agency, Skew. The reimagined creative provides fresh inspiration around four key looks: Twist on Tradition, The Sporting Club, New Take on Ornate and New Hybrids. Each design direction is supported by content from the archives and collections of the University’s Libraries, Museums, Colleges, Sports Clubs and Botanic Garden, providing an abundance of creative choice.
