New & Renewed: It's Happy Bunny™ Global Licensing Still Going Strong

New Deals in USA, Mexico; Noted Renewals in USA, Canada, Poland
LONDON – The licensing program for Jim Benton’s It’s Happy Bunny™, the cute little bunny with the BIG attitude, is still going strong more than a decade after it first launched. CopCorp Licensing President Carole Postal today announced new deals in Mexico and the USA as well as several notable renewals in USA, Canada, and Poland.
The new deals are as follows:
•Industria Danpex S.A. de C.V. is the newest addition to a fast-growing licensing roster in Mexico. Danpex has been granted the rights to product It’s Happy Bunny Binders, Files, Portfolios, Folders, Notepads, Notebooks, Diaries, Address Books, Journals, Calendars, Agendas, Planners, and Pencil Cases for the Mexican market. This deal was brokered by Licensing & Promotions LATAM as the appointed agent by CopCorp to manage the It’s Happy Bunny brand in Mexico and much of Latin America.
•In the USA, Illinois-based Carousel Checks (www.carouselchecks.com) has been granted the right to make and market It’s Happy Bunny “Build Your Own” Checks, Check Covers, and Address Labels. This deal was brokered by CopCorp Licensing.
“It’s great to see our It’s Happy Bunny program growing so nicely in Mexico and also still attracting great new licensees in the USA, Europe and elsewhere,” Postal noted. “When you have a well-established brand like It’s Happy Bunny, licensees tend to stick with the property for many years so it’s important for us to keep things fresh not only by growing into new territories but also by bringing in new licensees in new product categories.”
Postal cited the following companies as loyal It’s Happy Bunny licensees which all renewed their deals over this past summer:
•B&S Polska, a maker of Backpacks, Bags, Wallets, Purses, Cases, Pencil Cases, Rulers, Sharpeners, Erasers, and Pencils in Poland. B&S Polska, a licensee since 2008, was among the first It’s Happy Bunny licensees in Eastern Europe.
•CSS/Paper Magic, a manufacturer of Valentine Gift Trays in US & Canada. CSS, a licensee since 2006, has happily renewed/extended its It’s Happy Bunny license each year for the last four consecutive years;
•Kernels Popcorn, which makes Popcorn-filled Pails for the Canadian market, is a relatively new licensee now renewing for its first time;
•PS Brands, a manufacturer of Hosiery, Flip-Flops, Sunglasses, and Watches for sale in the US & Canada, has also renewed; and
•Trends, a leading producer of Posters, Calendars, Bookmarks, Journals, Stickers, Temporary Tattoos and Transfers for the US & Canadian markets. Trends, which had already renewed its license several times over the past decade prior to renewing yet again this summer, has been enjoying success with the It’s Happy Bunny brand since 2001.
