Fandom Reveals Every State’s Top Batman Actor, Bat-Villain and Justice League Hero
For over 80 years, Batman has been righting the wrongs of Gotham City, and in that time he’s also garnered quite a following across the nation. With just a few short days left until Robert Pattinson’s The Batman finally sees the light of day and mere months away from the return of Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne, Fandom crunched the numbers to determine every state’s top Justice League member, top searched Bat-Actor and even the most buzzed about Bat-Villain.
The dive into the bat-alytics have revealed some fun surprises:
- Batman was the most searched Justice League hero by Downeasters in Maine who also had Batman: The Animated Series Kevin Conroy as their top Batman and Mister Freeze was the Batman Rogue fans couldn’t stop looking for. Even the “World’s Greatest Detective” would be able to tell you that Mainers were clearly affected by “Heart of Ice”, the Emmy winning episode of Batman: The Animated Story that told the heartbreaking backstory of Victor Fries.
- New Jersey was another state where Batman topped the searches for Justice League members. The bridge and tunnel clearly loved the Dark Knight Rises as Christian Bale was their Batman of choice and Bane was the villain they wanted to know the most about. Retirement states like Arizona and Nevada were exactly where we expected to find fans still doing the Batusi as the Adam West love was still going strong.
- Michigan and Indiana must know something special is coming our way as Robert Pattinson is the most searched Batman in those states, even before his entry into the franchise hits theaters. Missouri and Oklahoma have the distinction of being the only states where Batman was the most searched Justice Leaguer and The Joker was the top Batman rogue. Adam West and Kevin Conroy are the top Batmen in those states respectively.
So who topped the state count and was the most popular Justice League member search?
- Batman and Wonder Woman both carried home 11 states.
- The nation’s Batman is actually not one of the live action actors but Animated Series star Kevin Conroy, who led Batman searches with 13 states, the live-action counterpart of that era, Michael Keaton, was right behind Conroy with 11 states keeping tabs of his wherea-bats.
- Finally, what Arkham Asylum occupant captivated the nation’s attention? Obviously, Batman’s nemesis The Joker was on the top of the list carrying 9 states, but Mr. Freeze was right there with 9 states of his own. Maybe Mr. Freeze is finally ready for a better big screen treatment than Arnold Schwarzanegger and Batman & Robin gave him.
