Beanstalk
Leading up to Beanstalk’s 30th anniversary, the global licensing agency had a monumental year in 2021, with accomplishments across all businesses. Beanstalk’s clients’ licensed products generated over $9 billion in retail sales globally, driven by products that fulfill consumers’ ever-changing needs. The agency’s existing client business grew organically by nearly 20%. Beanstalk won six new clients, with 26 brands added to its representation client roster and 24 new clients added across its manufacturer representation, consulting, and royalty auditing practice areas.

IMG generated double-digit growth across its portfolio, including sports, fashion, corporate, media and entertainment, institutions, and talent. The team retained industry leadership, generating some $15 billion in global retail sales. IMG also acquired the Middle East licensing agency Dubai-based 20Too, bringing regional client relationships with the likes of Hasbro and NBC Universal. Exclusive partnership with Fabacus and their advanced Xelacore platform, which combats counterfeit product activity, was also significant.
Pacific Licensing Studio
From a ground-breaking modest wear Chupa Chups collection in Malaysia to delicious Harry Potter festive mooncakes in Singapore; from a Minions aromatherapy diffuser line in Thailand to delightful Cinnamoroll feminine products in Indonesia; and from a tokidoki health and wellness promotional program in Singapore to a fashion-forward line of Skechers footwear featuring We Bare Bears across the region, PLS pulled out the stops to ensure we continue to delight our consumers and render added value to all within our business ecosystem.
The Joester Loria Group
In 2021, JLG launched global collaborations and DTR partnerships that delivered over 1 billion impressions and millions in sales. We partnered McDonald’s with the likes of Adidas, BoxLunch, and Peter Alexander. We executed Corona collaborations with Vineyard Vines and Primitive, and launched the first collaboration for Pacifico Beer with Lakai—a sold out collection of footwear and apparel. For Kellogg’s, we relaunched cereal straws, expanded into new food categories and partnered with LeSportsac worldwide.
The Point.1888
In 2021, The Point.1888 welcomed 13 new brands. We inked 121 new deals and launched 3,279 SKUs to market across 75 new product ranges, with 81 active retail relationships. We’ve also launched our business internationally, helping to cover 15 territories and serving 47 countries. To give our clients greater expert focus and broader support, we expanded our specialist departments, launching Sport and Music divisions, as well as two new businesses: Spotlight.1888, our retail strategy consultancy, and Story.1888, our creative marketing agency responsible for telling our client’s wider stories.
Tycoon Enterprises
TYCOON added product-sourcing, e-commerce and print-on-demand capabilities to its value offering, setting a new standard for agency work in the region. 2021 saw TYCOON’S appointment as Warner Media’s new agents in Chile and Argentina, followed by regional partnerships with FIFA, Care Bears and Among Us. Achievements include spectacular Space Jam and Batman retail programs; truly massive food programs with Minions; stunning fashion-lines with brands as diverse as Cobra Kai, Naruto and Hello Kitty; and LBE initiatives such as the first Hello Kitty Cafe in LATAM.
VIZ Media
Wherever manga and anime fans are, we are! VIZ Media’s portfolio includes must-have anime properties like Naruto, Hunter Hunter, Bleach, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Death Note, One Punch Man, and Junji Ito’s manga. VIZ expanded its reach into Canada and Latin America, bringing the best in Japanese anime and pop culture to new audiences. VIZ Consumer Products activities include partnerships with e-sports brands, streetwear, fashion brands, DTR deals, and licensing across a range of lifestyle categories such as collectibles, food/snacks, tech, auto accessories and pet!
WildBrain CPLG
Business has grown 40% with a total retail sales value of 3.4 billion. We bolstered our global footprint with the appointment of Jasen Wright to lead North American operations. The US team grew to eight with new deals including Moose Toys’ Strawberry Shortcake toy line and new rights for Magic Mixies, plus Jakks Pacific’s Chip & Potato toy line. Further global growth came from the expansion into India. Extensive growth of the Lifestyle portfolio came with new representation rights for brands Sauber, Master Lock, Motul, Romero Britto and the University of Southern California.
