The shoe was offered in two colorways—creamy white alongside earthy red, apricot, and olive green—all pulled from Broadacre City. The model released exclusively in-app and in-store at Kith Tokyo, where Kith founder Ronnie Fieg signed pairs for the first 25 customers. The second release followed the next day at a pop-up in Taliesin West, the Foundation’s Arizona headquarters. The collection, which sold out immediately, was featured in Fast Company and Architectural Digest.

Louboutin’s designs incorporated the fashion house’s aesthetic flare with tributes to key pieces of Marvel iconography, including the Infinity Stones, Marvel Comic character Namor, and Moon Knight’s mysterious black and silver suit. The pieces featured dramatic silhouettes, vibrant jewel-encrusted accents, vinyl leathers, striking metallics, and a scarlet-red sole to complete each shoe. Originating from Louboutin’s lifelong admiration for Marvel and powerful storytelling, an exclusive comic book was also launched. The storyline followed the quest of an Egyptian archaeologist superhero, based on Louboutin himself, and featured the collection and numerous Marvel characters. Additionally, consumers who purchased items from the collection unlocked an immersive augmented reality experience through Loubiverse and a Marvel digital collectible.

As part of its mission to collect, study, conserve, and present significant works of art across time and cultures to connect all people to creativity, knowledge, ideas, and one another, The Metropolitan Museum of Art collaborated with Todd Synder to design a wearable, art-inspired menswear collection. “The colors and brushstrokes of Van Gogh, Degas, and Manet feel incredibly modern, incredibly relevant,” says Snyder of the pieces he chose to adapt for this unique project. The menswear collection, featured in Esquire and GQ, among other fashion publications, was also featured on a multi-tiered jumbotron in Times Square.
