A new special episode drops on Netflix on April 9th to mark National Unicorn Day

New York, NY — The magic of Unicorn Academy reigns at 30 Rockefeller Plaza as Spin Master’s fantasy-adventure franchise takes over FAO Schwarz, New York City’s iconic toy store.

For the month of April, shoppers and fans of the franchise can immerse themselves in the magic of unicorns with in-store activations including unicorn-inspired beauty transformations, BFF bracelet making and exclusive gifts with purchase. Enchanting window displays will welcome guests into the store’s dedicated shop-in-shop with a curated collection of Unicorn Academy merchandise including award-winning toys, craft and activity sets, books, apparel, home goods and consumer electronics.

The takeover aligns with an all new one-hour special episode of Unicorn Academy that will be dropping on Netflix, Wednesday, April 9, in honor of National Unicorn Day. The episode entitled Legendary Summer will dive deeper into the friendships and adventures of the diverse characters and the powers that are unlocked through the magical bonds with their unicorns.

Audiences were first introduced to Unicorn Academy in November 2023 with Chapter Two of the series released in June 2024, quickly claiming the #1 spot for kids and families in over 90 countries. Hailed as the top girls show for ages 6-9 in Netflix’s September 2024 report, a second season has been greenlit that will propel the magic into 2026.
