Jim Fielding Named to Head Fox Consumer Products
Former Disney and DreamWorks Animation executive Jim Fielding has been named President of Consumer Products and Innovation by Fox Television Group and Twentieth Century Fox Film, effective this Monday (January 23).
Fielding, who left DreamWorks following its sale to NBCUniversal last fall, fills a position that’s been vacant since May when Jeffrey Godsick was named President of Worldwide Partnerships at Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group.
Fielding joined DreamWorks in 2014 as head of consumer products and retail for Awesomeness TV, which DreamWorks acquired a year earlier. In 2015, Fielding shifted to Global Head of Consumer Products and Retail at DreamWorks Animation, charged with melding the Awesomeness TV and DreamWorks consumer products businesses.
He also has a significant retail background. Before DreamWoprks, he was CEO of Claire’s Stores, Inc., where he oversaw strategic growth and international development for the retail chain’s more than 3,000 stores worldwide. Prior to that he was President of Disney Stores Worldwide.
