Upcycle and rehome your plush toys

Spread joy with Mandai Wildlife Group’s partnership with Soft Toy Hospital, through which a plush donation drive has been launched at Mandai Wildlife Reserve. Bring your pre-loved plush toys to the donation boxes located within the retail shops at Rainforest KidzWorld in Singapore Zoo and River Wonders for a good cause, where donated good condition toys will be re-distributed to underprivileged children and related charities.  Donated damaged or slightly defective toys will be transformed by the skilled “surgeons” at the Soft Toy Hospital will be given a new lease of life to upcycle them into different items in preparation for new homes while contributng to a sustainable ecosystem of gift giving.

New additions to Mandai Wildlife Group’s Wildlife Sanctuary collection

Fans of Mandai Wildlife Group’s premium Wildlife Sanctuary merchandise collection will be thrilled to hear that several exciting new additions join the collection, just in time for Christmas! Decked in its trademark natural earthy tones and chic animal motifs, the lifestyle collection hosts a sustainable range of homeware, accessories and apparel, with the aim of encouraging eco-friendly choices in everyday living. With work-from-office arrangements gradually becoming more commonplace, the new additions to the Wildlife Sanctuary collection will feature several versatile and practical items to bring a slice of nature and wildlife right into your work spaces. These include a pocket-sized refillable hand sanitizer, card holder-cum-lanyard and a sleek tote bag that doubles up as a document holder.

From end to end, the Group sought to choose sustainable every step of the way, incorporating spent and eco-friendly materials such as recycled polyester, organic cotton, and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified paper products, as well as influencing its suppliers to adopt environmentally sustainable practices. In providing these sustainable options to shoppers looking for gifts this year-end, the Group seeks to encourage responsible and environmentally conscious consumption. The Group also hopes to steer consumption towards the usage of reusable items such as the collection’s vacuum flask, which come in designs inspired by beloved park residents such as the White Tiger, Giant Panda and Elephant.

Game on with a wildlife twist on the classic Monopoly Set

As friends and family gather around to celebrate the end of an eventful 2022, dive into hours of undiluted fun with Mandai Wildlife Group’s limited edition Monopoly Board Game Playset (S$69 nett). Featuring crowd-favourite Mandai Wildlife Reserve residents such as the Red Panda, Sumatran Orangutan and Sunda Pangolin, the game set seeks to raise awareness of wildlife and encourage more positive action in protecting nature. For example, instead of Chance and Community Chest cards from the original gameplay, the Mandai Monopoly set has Act for Wildlife and Care for Wildlife cards instead,  which encourage action for wildlife conservation. Mandai Monopoly also features six customised tokens, including an orangutan, pangolin, turtle, cockatoo, walkie talkie and gumboot. The tokens are a representation of threatened species under our care as well as equipment and tools used in the parks by our animal care teams.  Accompanying the Monopoly set is also Mandai’s very own Top Trump Card Games featuring 30 different animals where you can learn about their fun facts, their diet and conservation status.  Available from October 22, at $12 nett each. This limited edition board game also comes in a smaller travel set.

Perfect for a day out in nature, the collection comprises items such as a Tyvek picnic bag and tumbler to keep your food and drink warm or cool all day, a small yet mighty FSC-licensed wooden Bluetooth speaker to emulate the sounds of the wild, and more!
