Masha and the Bear teams up with SBT
The second largest free TV channel in Brazil, SBT started airing of Masha and the Bear series across the country with the further episodes of the first season to be broadcasted on a daily basis. The show is scheduled to air in the morning kids slot within the Carrossel Animado programme that begins at 7:00 A.M. from Monday to Friday. Moreover, The Brazilian Television System has acquired the rights for both seasons of the cartoon meaning gradual releases of 52 episodes.

By the planned expansion into the country with the licensed goods in the fourth quarter, Masha and the Bear shows extensive growth of popularity and continues to demonstrate a strong media support in the territory with the series release on SBT and existing partnership with another authoritative media giant – Turner. Taking into account a large audience of the broadcasting partners in Brazil, Animaccord expects this year will lead to significant increase of the show awareness in the country as well as generate a huge demand on the branded products, according to Animaccord’s VP, Vladimir Gorbulya. Masha won Kidscreen Awards for Best Animation 2015, Animation Magazine listed it as a show that destined to become classic, and Oleg Kuzovkov who created Masha is listed as creative innovator by the same magazine (June 2016). The brand is rated amongst Top150 global licensors 2015 according to License!Global magazine and it’s also nominated for LIMA awards 2016 as the best animated property.
